This customer wanted to change what was a gloomy basement kitchen into a light and airy room that had unhindered access into the garden.
Town and Country designed and installed a small gable ended roof lantern and a set of folding sliding doors complety transforming the space.
The lantern brought in lots of lovely light and also elevated the ceiling to give a greater feeling of height, particularly important in the conversion of a cellar.
The folding sliding doors meant the customer had the option to fully open the doors so the garden could be enjoyed even when she was working in the kitchen; especially important having two young children. In addition, this door configuration has the added benefit of allowing the customer to open just a single door for the best of both worlds.
Door aperture: 3.78m x 2.35m, Roof lantern aperture: 2.0m x 1.3m
